    In depth

    Verdict

Pholas has won over track and trip on a couple of occasions this year and beaten several of these in the process. But the likes of Great Colaci and Dubai Acclaim may well reverse running on today’s more favourable terms. Lasting Legacy’s best efforts here so far have been over 7f but HEAVEN FORFEND made a winning debut for Michael Bell’s yard on his return to action when landing a novices event at Lingfield. Handicapping for the first time on his second start after wind surgery, he gets the vote. Win Win Power struggled at Southwell last time but better is expected in this and he’s preferred to Espresso Freddo.
