In depth

Verdict

The veteran LAKE TAKAPUNA ended a long losing run when scoring at Ayr and remains on a winning mark despite a 5lb rise. He can go close again with Brian Hughes remaining loyal. Treshnish has struggled lately having won a Hexham back in November and Blue Hawaii is preferred on last month’s second at Sedgefield. Six One Nine never troubled the winner when runner-up here while Whodini has more scope than most and makes his chasing bow with a tongue-tie applied having also undergone a wind operation.
