Verdict

Nothing leaps off the page in a modest handicap but Northern Acres won here twice last season and drops down a grade. The mare Delightfully is capable of going close if in the mood but Kayfrou hasn't shown much this season and is still 12lb higher than for his one and only victory so far. Flying Doctor was pulled up at Hexham last week and struggles to get his head in front nowadays while Shooting Times has been struggling over fences. HERON'S MILL has hinted at ability in a couple of previous runs at Gosforth Park and could be a bit better than he's shown so far. A 7lb claimer reduces his burden so he gets a tentative vote.
