Verdict

Shadrack reappears from a lengthy absence but races off a 4lb lower mark than when winning at Catterick a couple of years ago and it would be no surprise to see him run well. Next Sensation made all at Plumpton last month and has plenty of scope. But he's 13lb higher today while Castlelawn turned in a shocker when favourite at Wetherby. It's hard to have much faith in Mulligan's Man but Prince Tam runs his best races over this course and distance and makes more appeal than Alpha One. PORGY was closing on the leaders when unseating Danny Cook at the last at Sedgefield on his chasing bow. Providing that hasn't left any scars, Brian Ellison's versatile gelding could be worth an interest in this.
