        Verdict

        TOMMY TAYLOR completed a hat-trick here over 6f then stepped up to 7f to win again. Two of those victories came in higher grade so a 4lb penalty shouldn't prevent a five-timer. Old News has mainly been racing over a mile but is better at this trip as he showed with a short-head victory over Mawkeb here early last month, though the latter has the better of the weights this time and should reverse the form. Millionaire Waltz completed a course and distance hat-trick in Class 6 handicaps in the autumn but has struggled since stepping up in grade. Shalaa Asker has a chance at these weights with his rider's claim a plus as he was only beaten a short-head here in December.
