      Verdict

      Sir Chauvelin completed a track and trip double at the end of last year before a narrow defeat in Class 2 company at Southwell. A 12-times winner, he's capable of scoring again from this mark. Onesmoothoperator finished just in front in that Southwell event having been headed on the post. He's progressing nicely and looks certain to get into contention again while Wise Eagle did connections proud last year, winning six times in 10 starts including twice here. He's better over further but scored over the trip at Catterick and would be a threat to all if ready after a break. RESUMPTION (NAP) completed a course and distance double last month and, though up 5lb in this slightly higher grade, had plenty in hand last time and a hat-trick beckons.
