Tormenoso, Hunters Creek and Gimme Shelter catch our eye with the vote going to Gimme Shelter. Running through the field. Simlet has been lightly raced in the last two years but is closely weighted with End Of An Error based on September Perth form. Tormenoso won three on the bounce in March/April from a highest rating of 98. Beaten off his revised mark since, he could still sneak into a place. Copplestone, End Of An Error, Rosalyons, Ashnaya, Natural and Hunters Creek all have ratings rises to overcome from their most recent wins, although the last-named has proven very consistent. This leaves us with Gimme Shelter. He was the easy winner of a Hexham chase in March, having won over hurdles at Kelso the previous November. He is now racing from just a two-pound lower mark here so is entitled to be competitive. A possible downside is that he has not raced for 204 days, but we'll take that chance and give him the vote.
