An interesting bumper where BENNO'S BOY is a tentative suggestion, while Luso's Lad and Fiddler's Reel are among the potential dangers. The last-named is unbeaten in two point-to-points and looks to possess plenty of stamina. He is a half-brother to another winning pointer and his dam, Festival Fancy, was a successful staying hurdler. Cut should suit and he has a decent chance. Luso's Lad is also related to winning stock in points, bumpers, hurdles and chases, and represents the powerful Howard Johnson yard, so should be capable of getting heavily involved. Malcolm Jefferson does well in this grade and his Jake Spoon is related to plenty of French winners, so a market check is advised, while Chief Bucaneer should improve plenty for his debut and some softer ground, so is not ruled out. Even so, Benno's Boy comes from a yard going well, and who presumably think there is some ability in their gelding after persevering with him after a two-year absence. Cut in the ground should suit him and we will chance him first time back on the racecourse.
