Verdict

Another race thin on quality and Justtheoneforyou could go well for Malcolm Jefferson, although LEASE LEND is preferred. Suffice it to say that neither is lump-on material, but Lease Lend, from the in-form Tim Easterby yard, gets the marginal nod. He goes well at trips from this minimum up to 2m 4f, has winning form on bottomless ground, and remains on the same mark as when runner-up on his last two starts. He might just have too much for them here and can score for the first time since January 2008. Justtheoneforyou just looks to be a shade too high in the weights, but then all the others here are exposed too, and with placed form over this trip and with plenty of cut in the ground he has better credentials than most. Arumun is 3lbs higher than his best win and acts with cut, so is not written off, while Quito Du Tresor won a couple of French chases on soft ground and may just have been hiding his light under a bushel in hurdles in Britain so far, so check the market for clues on his chasing debut this side of the Channel. Lease Lend is suggested.
