    Verdict

    AL ZARAQAAN has been purchased by Hambleton Racing for 45,000gns and moved to Archie Watson. He completed a hat-trick of Polytrack victories last winter and an all-weather rating of 105 suggests it should be money well spent. He's 8lb higher than Halimi, four-times a winner on Turf for Jim Bolger and placed in Dubai last winter. He'll be better for his opening Tapeta run at Southwell on New Year's Day but the veteran Sir Chauvelin, three-times a winner over further on the track and four-times over hurdles, is likely to find the trip on the sharp side.
