In depth

Verdict

Maid In Moscow weakened quickly on her reappearance at Wetherby and may need to drop a few pounds in the handicap before recapturing the winning thread. More interesting is LOCKSTOWN, who will have needed his comeback run at Carlisle and is only a pound higher than when just beaten at Hexham in March under Graham Lee who's been on board for both of the gelding's previous wins at this track. Monsieur Jourdain should also be thereabouts with a clear round while Bardolet's close-up third at Uttoxeter last month was probably his best effort so far over fences. Copper's Gold was second on his reappearance at Kelso and Isla Pearl Fisher won three times over similar trips last season, though hasn't raced since January.
