    Verdict

Whoshotthesheriff won at Carlisle last month but is 5lb higher back in a handicap today. MALYSTIC won a novice chase at Wetherby in good style last time and, with further progress expected making his handicap debut, Peter Niven’s charge looks the one to side with. Ruinous made a winning debut over fences at Downpatrick in August but has subsequently switched yards while Black Pirate, a dual winner over timber, goes chasing for the first time but is preferred to Faire Part Sivola.
