The sole day of racing on the Tapeta at Newcastle this month sees plenty of course regulars line up for a low grade apprentices handicap. Mount Cheiron took this contest in 2016 before following up at Wolverhampton later in August. He looks likely to be competitive from a fair mark with Ger O'Neill booked to ride. Good Time Ahead has lost his way on turf lately, but is still relatively youthful (aged just three) and has previously demonstrated an affinity with Tapeta. Similar statements are true with regards SPIRIT OF THE VALE . She thrived over this C&D during the winter (1,1,2) and looks by far the safest option under an up and coming rider.
