In depth

Verdict

Beechwood Jim Bob ran green at Chelmsford but it was a decent first effort from Mark Johnston’s colt, who will know more today. London Arch went one place better at Chelmsford a couple of days later, though was no match for an easy winner. Salsada probably has more scope than Velma and Socially Shady but John Gosden runs a couple of newcomers in this with the Dirt-bred PITCHER’S POINT, who runs in the Godolphin colours, preferred to Lordofthehorizon at this stage of their respective careers.
