        Verdict

        CROSS OF LORRAINE was in tremendous form over this C&D a year ago winning twice including this race. He's right back to his best judged by his run over 5f here last month and is on a lower mark than last year so can continue his love affair with the track. Emily Hall landed a nursery on her final start last season and looked ready to win again when a very good runner-up to Orwellian in a big field at Redcar. She's on the same mark and has to be of interest while Oakbrook, who was also runner-up to Orwellian last month before scoring at Catterick, is another who should be in the firing-line. Ypres is still a maiden but hasn't been beaten far the last twice and is no forlorn hope in a tight little handicap.
