      Verdict

      Recent Redcar victor Scentpastparadise had tumbled down the weights before winning so a 6lb penalty won't be much of a hindrance. But today's soft ground will be and ICHIMOKU is preferred. Bryan Smart's colt scored over track and trip in similar underfoot conditions back in May and gets the nod ahead of Dark Opal. The latter is back on the same mark as last season's course and distance victory while Balinka will be taking advantage of her slide down the weights before long,
