        Verdict

        Jan Van Hoof was second on his racecourse debut at Wolverhampton in March. His absence since isn't a worry but he does have an all-weather pedigree. We prefer RESIST, who is no world-beater but is almost guaranteed to run her race again and won't get many easier opportunities. Normanna is surely better than she showed on her reappearance at Yarmouth but Simply Black has shown nothing so far this year and Princess Rose appears to be going backwards.
