Verdict

PADS had has 29 outings over hurdles without success but won easily at only the fourth time of asking over fences when successful at Hexham. He’s obviously more at home over the larger obstacles and this longer trip is not a problem. Pinch Of Ginger was awarded the race over 2m3f at Catterick in the stewards’ room but had passed the winning post only a nose down and can go close again while What's The Scoop posted a better effort at the same fixture at Catterick when fourth over a shorter distance. Orioninverness looks best of the rest on an earlier second at Hexham though has disappointed since.
