Verdict

Epsom Des Mottes landed a handicap at Ayr on heavy going in January and started favourite in similar conditions at Lingfield but found 2m7f beyond him. See Forever landed a handicap on heavy going at Uttoxeter but hasn't been in the same kind of form on less testing ground. Winning bumper The Black Squirrel was staying on over slightly shorter at Catterick and will appreciate the extra but SEAPOINT is the one to beat if reproducing her latest run here. Joanne Foster's mare was gaining her first craeer victory on her 33rd start but did it in such style that a 7lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a follow-up. Darius Des Sources looks high enough in the weights for his handicap debut and the remainder make little appeal.
