      Verdict

      MAYO STAR won a bumper here and showed his liking for heavy going over this trip at Ayr on his first start for Nicky Richards. He should have few problems defying a penalty. Bonny Houxty fell in three point-to-points and was a 250/1 chance on her hurdling debut at Carlisle where she finished just over 2 lengths behind the winner. In receipt of 13lb she looks the main threat. Marvellous Joe should have some improvement in him and Slainte Mhor hasn't run badly on heavy ground.
