Kristiansand, Singhalongtasveer, and York Cliff are the three to consider here with Kristiansand looking the best treated and taken to come out on top. York Cliff is a limited performer but is admirably consistent, and has proved a bargain buy for his connections. Mark Brisbourne's horse won well at Ayr last time where there was give underfoot, but may struggle to confirm superiority over Kristiansand, who was beaten two and a half lengths, but re-opposes on five pounds better terms. A winner at Cartmel in August, Kristiansand was having his first run on the Flat this year, and will appreciate the give underfoot. Singhalongtasveer was also returning to the level after a winter campaign over jumps, where he was also a winner, when scoring in an apprentice contest at Musselburgh. Normally, winners of apprentice races are not penalised, but Singhalongtasveer finds himself racing off a five ppound higher mark which may prove prohibitive. Kristiansand may lead them home.
