Namathej finished fourth in one of the divisions of the Wood Ditton and has enough scope to be successful, with her main rivals here appearing to be Hue, Emerald Storm and Formal Approval. Namathej by all accounts gave Richard Hills a good feel when fourth to Mordor at Newmarket, and will make up into a decent middle-distance filly in time, so she looks to have been found a suitable opportunity here. She makes much more appeal than the four-year-old Hue who was comfortably beaten by the selection's stablemate Seyaadi at Epsom recently, and as Ed Dunlop will have a line to the form, that adds to our confidence. Emerald Storm and Formal Approval both make their debut for Mark Johnston, and on breeding the latter, a half-sister to Group winning juveniles, makes slightly more appeal. It is hard to fancy any of the others, and Namathej should step up a gear to take this before going on to better things.
