Verdict

Better is expected from Carthaginian stepping up in trip but he has to give plenty of weight to the younger horses at this time of year and the three-year-old SONG AND DANCE MAN is preferred. Out of a Sadler's Wells mare, he looks sure to appreciate the extra distance after a recent debut fourth at Newmarket. Samoset is another crying out for a test of stamina and he should be thereabouts while both Qawaafy and Inaad are worth a second glance in the betting on their return to action.
