Although plenty of runners, there are few with a serious chance. The Nomad did well to rattle off a three timer and probably put up his best performance when claiming the scalp of subsequent winner Our Armageddon at Market Rasen back in November. He disappointed in handicap company at Wetherby last time, but back tackling novices here, has to be feared. Brown Teddy looks to be a a horse with a future. A scopey individual, he will eventually make a chaser, but in the meantime he is making hay over hurdles. He goes well for Carrie Ford and is lumbered with the selection. Irish raider Arctic Gold is another to enter calculations. Successful at Kelso when beating dual-bumper winner Tickton Flyer, he does have a little to find with the principals, but he is open to improvement at this trip.
