In depth

Verdict

To follow a claimer, the Newcastle executive get no bonus points for putting on a seller. However, supporters of Hoh Invader will be looking for a big run from Trump Card in the previous race. Hoh Invader has been a shade disappointing since winning at Musselburgh and is probably not one to rely on too heavily. Son Of A Gun finally got off the mark over hurdles when all out to win a similar contest at Fakenham last month. The Handicapper looks to have overreacted to that performance and he is passed over. From a yard in much better form now, Highbank gets the vote. Mary Reveley's grand old campaigner was winning for the first time, for over a year, when proving too strong for stablemate Shaffishayes at Market Rasen last month. Off a 5lbs higher mark here, he looks the one to beat.
