Klopp has won over the minimum trip here on a couple of occasions but is more exposed than the other winners and handicap newcomers Solar Park and EDGEWOOD. The former landed the odds at Wolverhampton recently by a wide-margin but beat little so the latter makes more appeal. James Bethell’s colt won at Doncaster in November with a horse rated 83 back in third and he gets the vote to make a winning return with both Dancing Mountain and Evangeline Samos difficult to recommend.
Edgewood 5-1 (9-5) Chased leaders, ridden to lead inside final furlong, soon challenged, held on well, won at Doncaster 6f mdn stks (4) sft in Nov beating Hero Hero (9-5) by nk, 14 ran.
Solar Park (IRE) 1-8fav (8-11) Pressed leader, led over 2f out, clear over 1f out, easily, won at Wolverhampton 6f stks (6) pol in Feb beating Piccolita (8-6) by 13l, 6 ran.
Klopp 3-1fav (9-5) Held up off the pace in 6th, headway near side of group 2f out, ran on inside final furlong, led towards finish, won at Newcastle 5f hcp (6) pol in Jan beating Gregarious Girl (8-9) by 1/2l, 8 ran.
Dancing Mountain (IRE) 9-2fav (9-8) Settled behind leaders, 5th halfway, ridden 2f out, no extra over 1f out, eased closing stages of final furlong, last of 11, 7 1/2l behind Man Of The Sea (9-0) at Navan 5f hcp gd in Oct.
