This could be the weaker of the two divisions of the maiden and we will take a chance with Witwatersrand. Malahem and Kintbury Cross may provide the biggest dangers. Barry Hills has been very patient with this daughter of Unfuwain, who was very green on her debut last September. Under the circumstances she did well to finish fourth behind Fen Shui. We could see a much-improved performer this season. Malahem looks set to improve on his debut fourth behind Roman Villa and should make the frame. Kintbury Cross has had plenty of chances and wasn't beaten far in a Windsor handicap which puts him in with strong claims here. Oberon's Prize should be monitored for any market move, but on this occasion we will side with Witwatersrand.
