Most of these manage to win in their turn but KNIGHT OWL is an exception, having delivered three wins from his last four runs. Up 17lb since the first of those victories, he was still a comfortable scorer at Nottingham last time, suggesting there's more to come from the Fanshawe inmate off a mark of 85. The question mark is his ability to handle the ground should it become significantly testing. Richard Hughes is a good booking for Harry Bosch, another protagonist unproven on ground with plenty of cut. He's progressing nicely and should be competitive under the champion jockey off a 5lb higher mark for a decisive Bath victory latest. Big Baz is interesting now dropped in grade whilst Uncle Dermot cannot be discounted despite topweight as he's suddenly struck a rich vein of form somewhat belatedly in his career. Raised another 6lb for his recent Ayr success, he may just find this a bridge too far.
