By Phardante out of an Idiot's Delight mare, there is something to like about Amplify's breeding but he hard to fully assess. Ballyrobert drops back in trip after running keenly but with promise in a fair event at Kempton last time. He has to be considered. Charliemoore, named after the trainer's father, won a modest bumper at Plumpton last season, and makes his hurdling debut today. Chauvinist did not quite live up to hopes held for him last season but he is well up to winning a race of this nature. Placed in a Folkestone bumper, Colonel Frank is making his hurdling debut. Henrietta Knight is represented by Copsale Lad and the Commanche Run four-year-old, Howrwenow (the mount of stable jockey Jim Culloty) who is a winning Irish pointer. Kingfisher Flyer won a Haydock bumper in 1999 but has had his training problems. Josh Gifford's Narwhal showed promise when runner-up in a bumper here in March. Irish import Tomfoolary was placed in two bumpers there but was well behind Chauvinist over two and three quarter miles at Wincanton last time. Overall, Nicky Henderson looks to have found a good opportunity for Chauvinist who gets the TEAMtalk vote.
