First De La Brunie was good value for his win at Ludlow last week and has to be respected off his light weight but a 7lb penalty may prevent the seven-year-old from following up and preference is for the less exposed Your Amount, who gets the vote with Exmoor Ranger rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has shown gradual improvement in limited starts over hurdles, scoring in good fashion at Stratford at the beginning of the month. Alan King's gelding looks well treated off a mark of 114 for his debut in a handicap on that evidence and looks worth support. Nicky Henderson's Pamak D'airy has not progressed as much as may have been anticipated but may appreciate the slight drop in trip today, while Fix The Rib is hard to weigh up after just three career starts. Peaceful Means looks to be going the right way but looks a shade high in the weights and of more interest may be the lightly raced Exmoor Ranger, although a 9lb rise for his recent success at Sandown seems a touch harsh. Your Amount looks well treated though and he is preferred.
