Pterodactyl and Cathedral Rock are officially 'well-in' but there are a number of equally progressive runners in the line-up. MASTER CHARM appeals as one that may improve now handicapping and gets the vote. Cathedral Rock won well at Sandown in first-time blinkers but there has to be a doubt as to whether he'll reproduce that form whilst Pterodactyl has yet to convince in the finish. Wyeth won when well backed on the level on Monday and should be spot on but this is a fair step up and of more appeal is Clyffe Hanger who was there with every chance when falling at Taunton and should be suited by the demands of this test. From Dawn To Dusk, Chance Du Roy and Chesapeake would all make the short-list if the market were to give out the right vibes whilst Alaghiraar has hinted at having the potential to go close in a race of this nature more than once. Master Charm steps up in trip for his handicap debut and should be suited by the stiffer test; Carl Llewellyn has endured a lean season but a few of his have been showing up quite well of late. Master Charm showed ability on debut and on his penultimate start when finishing within five lengths of Somersby at Kempton with the first three clear of the fourth and the form looks fair with the second a winner since. On his next start he faced a tough task so wasn't entirely disgraced in finishing well beaten in midfield and this is more realistic. He's reunited with Noel Fehily, who was aboard for his penultimate start, and Master Charm appears to have the potential to get into the mix.
