Verdict
It will be interesting to see how Mike Murphy's Trempari performs on his flat racing debut having shown promise in all four starts in bumpers but he is likely to do better over further and preference is for KEY REGARD, who gets the verdict ahead of Wray Castle. Ian Williams has his team in good form and the four-year-old, who was well held on his only start in a bumper, made a promising debut on the flat when chasing home Eighteenfifty at Wolverhampton earlier this month. This faster track is not certain to suit the son of Desert Prince though and he may be best watched. Andrew Turnell's Scandal was a bumper winner here on his racecourse debut but failed to trouble the judge in two subsequent starts in that grade before making a promising first start on the flat when a creditable fourth behind Enlightenment here over 1m5f. He has to be considered and makes more appeal than Filun, who is proving to be expensive to follow. Tilly Shilling has a long absence to overcome, while Suhailah stepped up on her debut effort when a fair fifth last time but needs to improve again to trouble Key Regard. Jamie Osborne's colt is bred for speed but showed that this trip should hold no fears when staying on strongly behind Bromhead in a maiden here last month and, with further improvement to come for the run, he looks the one to beat.
