Verdict

Mudhish was good value for his win in a handicap at Southwell two starts ago but Clive Brittain's gelding has disappointed here before and he looks best watched in a race taken to go to ZERO COOL, who gets the verdict ahead of Smokey Rye. George Baker's filly has won a couple of claimers in recent outings and has every chance if able to reproduce a similar level of form today but she has disappointed in a two outings of late and is hard to trust completely so may be best watched. Northern Desert has more to do under his penalty for winning here last time, while Garden Party has bit to find on official BHA ratings. Jamie Poulton's Nikki Bea is proving to be expensive to follow and a better bet looks to be Zero Cool. Gary Moore's gelding has not won for some time but the yard have their runners in good form at present and he looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways.
