Verdict

Fistral Beach made a winning reappearance at Wetherby and should be thereabouts again, despite a 7lb higher mark. David Pipe's pair Consigliere and Qulinton may be a shade high in the weights, however, while Crescent Island's jumping remains a concern and he was quickly pulled up after blundering at Haydock last week. Barry Geraghty prefers Forzy Origny to stablemate Osric, but just as interesting are Aintree victor Hector's Choice and course winner Chance Du Roy. Edgbriar is back on a winning mark but weakened quickly on his return at Cheltenham and may need another run to put him straight so we'll take a chance on COUP ROYALE. Colin Tizzard has trained the winner of this for the last two years and his lightly-raced seven-year-old should have more to offer this term having spread-eagled a decent field on his last start at Kempton in February.
