Verdict

RUSSIAN RULER started favourite on his hurdling debut at Doncaster last season but only managed third. However, he wasn’t beaten far on his only subsequent start in a Grade 2 at Kempton and his win in a Warwick bumper last year has worked out well. He sets a decent standard but Stay Away Fay looks a danger representing last year’s winning yard as his victory in a Lingstown maiden between the flags last year has also been franked. Bumper winner Heezer Geezer was beaten under a length at Aintree on his hurdles bow while Egbert finished ahead of favourite Everyonesgame when third at Warwick but I'd Like To Know may have been a lucky winner at Worcester and carries 6lb extra.
