Wogan had little chance behind Denman at Cheltenham last time and should find this company less exacting but Nicky Henderson's gelding is likely to do better when sent over further and a better bet may be Briareus with Killaghy Castle rated the best of the rest. The selection lacks any chasing experience but was easily the best of these over hurdles and is sure to have been well schooled by trainer Alan King ahead of his chasing bow. Dictum has not had a great deal of racing in recent seasons and may be best watched on his return from another long absence so a bigger threat may come from Killaghy Castle. Nick Gifford's gelding is the least exposed of these and it is interesting that he is put over the larger obstacles after just four career starts. Briareus has a touch of class about him though and he is preferred.
