Ginger Spice is made a tentative selection ahead of Cuervas Bay and Downland. Ginger Spice was highly touted before her run at York but whether it was the soft going or some other factor, her run was too bad to be true. It will difficult but the punters with burnt fingers to persuade themselves to lump on again but this isn't a strong race and we won't oppose her. Cuervas Bay is related to plenty of 7f winners and is respected in the market on debut. Downland is of some interest now that she is stepping up in trip and now that John Dunlop's string appear to be hitting a level of form. Bodhi Tree failed to capitalise on an eyecatching debut at Lingfield when beaten in a weaker race at Nottingham. Madam Caversfield sets the standard from a formbook perspective. Easter Egg, who ran much better than her price suggested at Windsor, looks pick of the rest. Not a great maiden but Ginger Spice is given one final chance.
