In depth

Verdict

Miss Particular should benefit for the step up in trip and we will recommend her ahead of Self Respect and Spinning Coin. Barry Hills' team are in good form. Only beaten a head by Lysandra at Newbury over 1m2f, the form took a severe boost as that runner was only narrowly foiled on Thursday night at Doncaster. That was a much better race than Newbury's affair and progression has to be anticipated from the Maktoum owned runner. Self Respect has solid formbook claims and while it is hard to fault Jeremy Noseda's charge - the better form has been displayed with some evidence of cut in the ground. Spinning Coin has been the model of consistency this term. She ran up against a well-handicapped sort at Haydock last time out but there was no disgrace in silver medal and she will go close again. Wester Lodge has been described as a big baby by his connections. He matured into a man last time out at Bath and he now takes the upgrade. Montecito is watched in the market as is Country Pursuit, who looks worth a try over this afternoon's trip. Miss Particular looks progressive enough to win this and we will take her against a quality field.
