Verdict

Fizzlestix only had two rivals when winning a conditionals’ race at Fontwell last week but he has plenty of potential for further improvement and James Bowen is an interesting jockey booking. CHRISTMAS IN APRIL showed that staying was his game when fourth at Ascot in December. Lightly-raced, this looks a good opportunity to open his account and he makes more appeal than stablemate Darius Des Bois. Ffos Las second Tudors Treasure is tried in cheekpieces but has been raised 3lb. Cheque En Blanc looks in the handicapper’s grip now and Boher Lad isn’t getting any younger while Puppet Warrior invariably finds at least one too good. Champagne Chaser was behind Burgess Dream at Lingfield last season but might turn the tables on more favourable terms.
