Sovereign's Honour is likely to be sent off at cramped odds but it's difficult to envisage her being beaten. Bet Noir and Belotto may be the two to chase her home. Sir Michael Stoute's filly shaped adequately in two well contested maidens before being asked to contest the Group 3 Musidora on her third start and she ran well to only be beaten around nine lengths behind Lush Lashes. She then performed to a similar level when finishing seventh of nine behind Michita in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes. She has been off the track since Royal Ascot and is unraced on ground worse than good to soft but really should be good enough to see off this opposition. Belotto was turned over at odds-on at Bath last time and her subsequent absence suggests that something may have been amiss. Either way she has a good bit to find with the selection and marked improvement is required. Bet Noir was staying on over a mile last time and should benefit from this stiffer test but she has plenty to do on the book and may not come into her own until handicapping. Alvee and Vine Street represent respected yards and the latter is a sister to the yard's smart filly Silkwood; Vine Street would be of some interest if market support were forthcoming but she is best watched otherwise. This appears to be an excellent opportunity for Sovereign's Honour and she's taken to make the most of it.
