La Columbina and Addikt are the two to concentrate on here with ready preference for the latter; No To Trident may fare best of the remainder. The selection has discovered the winning habit and can kick this opposition into touch. Strictly, on official ratings he has no easy task as he concedes 18lbs to La Columbina who is only rated 10lbs inferior but his form stacks up a little better. He has run on strongly to take two handicaps at Doncaster and Nottingham and appears to be progressing well so it's a little surprising to see him dropped to this grade. La Columbina won a claimer with any amount in hand last time and that may have done wonders for her confidence but that was a weak contest over a mile where she faced nothing of the calibre of the selection. She did win over this trip last year so should have no problem staying the distance but faces a stiffer examination this afternoon. North Parade is the highest rated horse in the contest but has done nothing this season to suggest that he's worthy of his mark and No To Trident may prove to be a bigger threat if he takes to a visor. David Evans gets plenty of winners in this grade and his charge is by no means devoid of ability but now is not the time to give up Addikt.
