Verdict

Always an interesting contest with NATURAL given another chance after not really making any show the last day in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. However, she appealed as a filly of some potential when posting a winning debut at Doncaster and things may have happened too quickly at the Royal meeting. She was comfortable dictating terms first time up, the second has won since and she'll appreciate the forecast cut in the ground as her winning debut came on the soft, Another Batt is enjoying a good season and also has form on ground with some give but Madeline looks the main danger. She finished well clear of the selection in the Albany and looks a useful filly for the Varian team. She should take care of our selection on the formbook but has yet to perform on ground with soft in the going description and the feeling persists that Natural did not run her race at Ascot. Simmy's Copshop and Way of Wisdom are also respected.
