In depth

Formwatch

Theyab (USA) is one of only four who really catch the eye in the overall context of this race. He is well bred and has a Derby entry and would not have to be out of the ordinary to play a leading part here. La Passione could well start favourite, based upon her second to Zilch on her only run last year. Trainer Henry Cecil has a good record here but this season his runners have yet to perform with their usual consistency. Of the others, Four Eagles, from David Elsworth's stable - whose runners are going OK at the moment - catches the eye as he showed a lot of promise on his only run last year, and Dr Charlie, a half-brother to Kalypso Katie, who ought to put up a good show. A number of the others are likely to need further than this trip as time goes by.
