Nicky Henderson has provided the winner of this valuable mares' race in three of the last nine years but it's difficult to make a genuine case for this year's entry Spartan Angel. Allez Encore and Bobs Lady Tamure looks to have too much weight and Cresswell Breeze will have to improve again to complete a four-timer at this level but course and distance winner Rons Dream goes on the short-list as she had Queen Of The Stage, Briery Belle and Theregoesthetruth behind when runner-up to Uranna in a Listed race at Sandown last month and her stable is in terrific form. Morello Royale would be closely matched with Peter Bowen's five-year-old on a line through Briery Belle, however, and the lightly-raced Dusky Legend warrants a mention. Twentytwo's Taken beat subsequent winner Midnight Jazz at Fakenham in January but there wouldn't be much between the pair on today's terms. The better ground will suit TANIOKEY and Oliver Sherwood knows what it takes to win this race. She has something to find with a few of these on collateral form but looks a decent each-way bet at the likely odds in a wide-open contest.
