Texas Gold holds Lochridge on running at Goodwood last time and is again fancied to get the better of Andrew Balding's filly and stablemate Golden Dixie. The selection is unexposed over this trip having done much of his racing over the minimum distance and, while this is a stiffer six than at Goodwood, there seems no reason why Willie Muir's gelding should not stay the trip here. Golden Dixie has only raced four times so far and may be open to more improvement than most but needs to improve on his reappearance effort over course and distance. Budelli has claims if able to reproduce his best but is none too consistent, while Canterloupe has shown little sign of encouragement this term. Go Polar and Kawagino make limited appeal in a race that is expected to see Texas Gold complete a hat-trick.
