Verdict

Look First has shown much improved form for the step up to this trip and was a highly impressive four-length winner at Folkestone last week. Ian Wood's charge can expect a hefty rise in the handicap so appears well treated under a 6lb penalty. Winning hurdler Trained Bythe Best comes here in top form having landed a Chepstow handicap last time and should give another good account despite a 10lb hike. Turnpole is not getting any younger but Balladeer shouldn't be dismissed under top weight on the pick of his form.
