RIPP ORF beat a big field in the Victoria Cup at Ascot last week and is only 3lb higher. He should stay a mile this year and is worth sticking with in his current mood. Surrey Hope seems sure to be thereabouts as he won three times last year and has run well in two recent starts on the all-weather, though has been gelded. Zwayyan showed improvement in blinkers at the end of last season and changed hands for 100,000gns over the winter, though the headgear is left off today. Commander Cole is certain to improve on his comeback fourth at Thirsk and Wahash wasn’t disgraced back on Turf at Wetherby but Pouvoir Magique has some improving to do.
