In depth

Verdict

Cairanne has a penalty for winning for the first time in 19 starts at Yarmouth last week and others make more appeal. Hurakan may have slipped to a winning mark judged on his recent placed efforts at Wolverhampton and Choral Festival is only 2lb higher than when scoring at Lingfield in December. Broughton Sands has been running well over longer trips and Cheddar George has the past form to figure, but a punt is taken on THE HIGH MAN. He hasn't raced since 2010 when third to subsequent Group 1 winner Recital at Navan when trained by John Oxx, but he could well be up to winning in this company on his comeback for new connections.
