Verdict

Arctic Owl has been a credit to connections having landed the Irish St Leger in 2000 but has had his share of problems since and is best watched on his return following a lengthy absence since disappointing over hurdles. High Pitched was a most progressive sort last term and took the step up from handicap company in his stride when landing the Group 3 St Simon Stakes. Henry Cecil's charge is entitled to improve for his reappearance and any rain will be in his favour. Love Everlasting is not out of it if able to reproduce the pick of last year's form while First Ballot showed he is in good form judged on his Newmarket success (Warrsan held) and Dawari is capable of further progress having been lightly campaigned.
