Solid Stone faces a more competitive line-up than when successful last year and has a 6lb penalty for beating three rivals in a Group 2 at Chester in May. Dubai Future sprang a surprise in a Listed race at Royal Ascot in June but didn’t run up to that form at York next time. Fancy Man is versatile and can give a good account despite having a bit to find with a few of these on official ratings though, along with Max Vega, does look held by Kemari on the form book. The latter's stablemate SISKANY hasn’t raced since third in a million-pound handicap at Riyadh in February but fitness is unlikely to be an issue and he still has scope at this level. Stay Alert is preferred to Lysander of the three-year-olds.
